Outdoor Sensor Enclosure
thingiverse
This is a straightforward, 32mm pipe attachable, multi-sensor housing, designed specifically for outdoor projects. Remember, when printing with PLA, you absolutely must apply some sort of protective coating, such as paint or resin, to ensure the material withstands environmental conditions. PLA is not waterproof and tends to absorb moisture. To assemble the enclosure correctly, print it with the fins facing upwards. UPDATE - 12/06/2017 The system functions flawlessly, even in extreme temperatures below 0°C and during heavy rain. I've successfully integrated MQ2 and Shinyei PPD42 sensors into the design, which have proven to be highly reliable.
