Outdoor Screen for Zooz ZSE44 Z-Wave Temperature and Humidity Sensor

This is a shield for a Zooz ZSE44 Z-Wave Plus 700 Series XS Temperature and Humidity Sensor with Mounting Bracket (purchased separately). The Zooz mounting bracket is screwed into the shield "backplane", while the sensor can be popped out of the bracket for battery replacement without disassembly of the shield. The shield could probably be used for other small sensors that can be held in place with screws, but disassembly may be required for maintenance. While the shield offers some protection from the elements while allowing airflow to the sensor, its effectiveness against inclement weather is yet to be determined. Parts to print: 1x Top 5x Middle 1x Bracket Other parts needed: 3x M4 x 90 mm. Hex Socket Cap Screws 2x M3 x 10mm. Hex Socket Cap Screws 2x M3 Nuts 3x Wood screws or other mounting hardware Zooz ZSE44 with Mounting Bracket Assembly: 1. Mount the bracket base to a wall or other surface with appropriate hardware. 2. Attach one end of Zooz sensor mounting bracket to shield top with M3 screw and nut. Position bracket as far down away from top in screw slot as possible and tighten screw completely. 3. Loosely assemble top and middle parts with two of the 90mm screws. Attach other end of Zooz sensor mounting bracket to bottom-most of the middle parts with the other M3 screw and nut. Tighten completely. Remove the two 90mm screws while holding the assembly together. 4. Attach the assembly to the shield bracket with the 90mm screws and tighten carefully. Be careful not to apply too much torque to the bracket. 5. Insert the Zooz sensor from the bottom and snap into place, again being careful not to stress the shield bracket. Remix Differences: 1. Modified holes to accept M4 screws, since available in longer sizes. 2. Modified top to remove holes exposed to weather. 3. Modified "backplane" of top and middle parts to include adjustable screw slot. 4. Modified bracket to allow maintenance of sensor without disassembly. 5. Increased size of bracket wall mounting holes.
