Publishing my outdoor housing, I utilize it on the entrance of my backyard garden door. Two holes allow me to screw it securely onto the door. The door is designed to snap into place, and I recommend taping it firmly so that no water can penetrate. I also encase the sensor in a mini-ziplock bag for added protection. After running this setup for more than one year, the sensor remains functional and works flawlessly.
