PayPal: paypal.me/jackwaterfall Updates: 12/06/2015 - I've added mounts for dual hotends and changed the addon system to be modular. 12/06/2015 - I've added mounts for automatic bed levelling proximity-sensors for diameters up to 15mm. If you want support for bigger sensors, let me know! 01/12/2015 - First release, with support for Rotoscan's cable chain. What Is It? If you're upgrading your Prusa i3 hotend to the E3D V6 or an equivalent hot-end with the standard groove mount, you'll need a way to mount it to your x-carriage. The mount attaches to the x-carriage using the same four-hole mounting system that's used on the Prusa I3 rework, so you'll need to print off a compatible x-carriage. This design uses a clamp so your hotend will stay firmly in place and won't wobble around. This x-carriage comes with support for a cable chain, specifically the one by Rotoscan (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:11978). It also has a cable management hole at the back to manage the cables from your hot-end and fans. More features are on the way, including fan mounts, other cable chain support, and a mount for automatic bed sensors. Please comment on anything you want me to implement. Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa I3 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.1mm-0.4mm Infill: 15-35% Notes: Print the clamp with the logo facing upwards to make the top bevel and logo come out nice. It may require a little cleanup on the overhang, but I've slightly increased the diameter of the circles on the clamp to compensate for this, so try it before you do any cleanup. Post-Printing: 1) Cleaning up the clamp The clamp is printed as an overhang to have a nicer top face, logo, and bevel. So, you might have to sand down the overhang to nicely fit the groove mount of the hot-end. 2) Cleaning up the main mount The main mount normally prints without any problems, although you may have to clean out the nut trap for the clamp due to the overhang. 3) Assembly Hardware: (General) 4 m3x25mm bolts 2 m3x15mm bolts 6 m3 nuts (Optional for cable chain mount) 2 m3x10mm bolts 2 m3 nuts (Plastic Parts) 1 main body 1 clamp Assembly: 1) Use the four m3x25mm bolts and nuts to attach the main body of the mount to the x-carriage. 2) Place your hot-end in the clamp, and place two nuts in the nut traps. Use the two m3x15mm bolts to firmly clamp down the ho-tend. 3) (Optional) Use the two m3x10mm and nuts to secure the cable chain mount to the underneath of the mount.
