Outboard Shift Shaft bushing TOOL

Removing the Shift shaft bushing from a Mercury 70hp lower unit without the right tool is no easy task, trust me, I've been there! After struggling to get it out, I was forced to resort to using an angle grinder and some round tubing, which left quite a mess. This specialized Bushing Tool, sold as "18-9817 - Bushing Tool, 91-31107Tl", can be yours for around $23 USD. However, with shipping costs factored in, it can become quite pricey, especially if you're located in Australia like I am. With the help of a printer, I decided to take matters into my own hands and create one myself. It seems that others might be facing similar challenges, so I'm sharing this design here in case anyone else needs some assistance. My custom tool was printed at 0.15mm resolution and fits perfectly onto my bushing. Additionally, an 18mm spanner slips snugly into place on top. Hopefully, this DIY solution will help someone avoid the expense of buying a specialized tool!
