Ouroboros Ring
grabcad
This ring draws inspiration from the iconic Ouroboros dragon. Two gemstones sit atop a central image of the dragon's head, echoing the snake-like creature's circular motif. The black carbon gemstone represents the start of a cycle, while the clear diamond marks its climax and beginning. As the dragon consumes the carbon, it transforms into a diamond that eventually decays, forming an eternal loop. Each wearer interprets the Ouroboros ring's symbolism uniquely. To me, this design embodies the passage of time. The dark carbon signifies night, the radiant diamond represents daybreak, the body symbolizes the transition from darkness to light, and the head signifies slumber. When morning arrives, the Ouroboros has devoured the night, rebirthing our new day. Crafted predominantly from bronze, this ring's traditional material honors its roots. Some artisans choose gold, referencing the alchemist's pursuit of transformation and the Ouroboros' role in transmuting base metals into precious ones.
