Our Lady of Grace

Our Lady of Grace stands out as one of the most captivating Virgin and Childs from the end of the Middle Ages. Named for an inscription in Gothic letters on the base, flanking a shield that unfortunately has faded beyond recognition, her origins are local but pinpointing an exact date is nearly impossible without analyzing the style. The delicate features of her small face, coupled with a thoughtful, contemplative expression found in many regional sculptures from the Tarn and Aveyron regions, echo the heavy folds of thick drapery at her feet. Fortunately, expert restoration has meticulously restored this piece to its original vibrant colors, showcasing its full delicacy. This object is available for download with added texture details.
