Steam locomotive CN 6200 and tender stand proudly outside the Canada National Museum of Science and Technology in Ottawa, captured swiftly from ground level by a Faro Focus laser scanner. This raw scalar LiDAR data is ready to be brought to life as a precise model. Notice how the black metallic paint absorbs much of the light used in the measurements, resulting in less returned data.
