OTF Mount for Wahoo Elemnt Bolt (and maybe Garmin?)
thingiverse
Didn't feel like shelling out $20 for an official Element Bolt mount on my second bike. So, I took matters into my own hands and designed this thing. It prints easily, thanks to flat bases and fairly simple overhangs. It's small and lightweight, weighing in at just 29 grams with all the hardware included. Design-wise, it's a minimalist approach that won't clutter up your bike. Not quite aerodynamic yet, but we'll get there - it needs some tweaks to fit snugly on the Bolt. One nice feature is the removable and replaceable mounting insert. Instead of using two bolts like the official inserts or K-edge ones, I went with a single central bolt and slotted the insert. This lets you rotate the insert 90 degrees, which means you can potentially design a new insert that mounts Garmins in a similar way. That would be awesome - if only I had a Garmin to test it out. Keep in mind, this mount is specifically designed for the Element Bolt, so it places the computer pretty close to the stem clamp. If you've got a larger head unit, it might not fit comfortably. But hey, if there's enough interest, I'll design a longer version that can accommodate those bigger units.
