Ostrogothic fibula, National Museum, Sarajevo

Researchers uncovered an exquisite silver fibula adorned with gold, crafted in the style of Ostrogothic art. The fibula's head boasts five delicate tines, while its body is shaped like a ferocious animal's snout. Data gathered during a collaborative research project between GDH and DIGI.BA, a Sarajevo-based organization dedicated to digitizing cultural heritage, alongside the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The team worked closely with museum experts to achieve their goal. A total of 441 high-quality images, captured using a Canon 5D mk IV camera, served as the foundation for creating this model. All data were meticulously processed using Reality Capture software. Project NMB BH1.1 was successfully completed under the joint supervision of GDH and DIGI.BA.
