Ossum Jeep Hotrod Conversion Kit
thingiverse
I slapped together a very rough version to be able to slam the Ossum jeep down like a hotrod-ratrod vehicle. This kit should work with most Ossum jeep parts. I'm using this kit to replace a few key pieces in the conversion. Here's what I've replaced so far: - I swapped out the tub for a version that includes a drive shaft channel. - I replaced the rear center body section with a raised section. - I swapped out the rear frame rails for raised versions. - I replaced the rear bumper with an edited version to fit the new frame rails. This conversion is currently incomplete, but it may help some other makers build the rest. I'll update it as I find time to add more. Here's what's missing: - A new drivetrain and gearbox to accommodate this new setup. I intend for a front motor mounted system with a gearbox that drives the rear tires only. - New front suspension and axle to hold the front tires on the truck, likely with a single leaf to keep it steady but allow it to pivot. - New rear suspension that allows the axle to fit under the body. I may create a solid mount option with no flex as well as a lightly flexible or pivot solution. - New rims to fit the tires under the body, or wide enough to clear with larger scale tires. - New window frame pieces to match the ratrod window. - New seats to mount with the raised drive shaft. - A new hood for a mock V8 engine to stick out. UPDATE LOG: 7/28/17 - I added CHOPPED fenders and tub that remove the front fenders from the design.
