Marble from Dokimeion in Asia Minor, found on Megisti, modern Kastellorizo, of the Dodecanese Islands. A long side showcases a deceased married couple, while Aphrodite writes their names on a shield held by Erotideus in the center. Bellerophon and his winged horse Pegasos stand to the right. At the left end of the opposite long side, Diomedes and Odysseus seize the Palladion. Aphrodite and a hero flank a trophy on the right. A Centaur wrestles with a bearded man on one narrow side and Pan, the goat-footed god, and a Satyr support the drunken Herakles on the other. Crafted in an Asian Minor workshop.
