"Osprey" airsoft silencer/suppressor
thingiverse
This silencer is based on the Osprey 45k and was designed to be used on my 1911 R32, which I holster on my Swiss Arms Adapt-X. As a result, the dimensions aren't exactly accurate compared to the RS one. Dimensions: 23 x 35.5 x 150mm The baffle is optional, but it doesn't suppress sound on a GBB; most noise escapes through the slide. However, it might be effective on a NBB. Hardware used: 2 x headless M3x3 2 x M3 nuts 1 x small wood screw (optional) 1 x 1.5mm allen key, cut to size Assembly: - Insert M3 nuts into the "can" - Place desired "thread" - Place and screw the "cover" - Screw in headless bolts but don't tighten - Insert the "baffle" - Insert the "end cover" (pressure fit) - Thread it completely on your replica (if thread is too loose, tighten headless bolts slightly), align/rotate the can and proceed to tighten both M3x3 - Insert allen key in the hole - Place the "key" part (should be pressure fit as well) I field-tested a PLA version and it held up very well. However, due to temperature fluctuations, my replica lost some gas after shots so I could see gas escaping from the end of the silencer, which looked cool. I might upgrade the cover + key part in order to remove the small screw in the future. Changelog: 26-11-2019 - Re-uploaded threaded STLs for compatibility with Slic3r.
