This is an innovative design for an Oscillating Steam Engine created purely for educational purposes. The Design was meticulously crafted using Catia V5 software. A pioneering steam-engine concept known as the oscillating cylinder steam engine, also referred to as a wobbler in American English, was first proposed by William Murdoch at the end of the 18th century and does not require any complex valve gear. Instead, the cylinder effortlessly rocks or oscillates as the crank moves the piston, pivoting around its mounting trunnion so that ports in the cylinder perfectly align with ports on a fixed port face to alternately direct steam into or out of the cylinder.
