Oshi - Filter Press for the xBloom Reusable Dripper
thingiverse
Enhance your xBloom reusable dripper experience with the Oshi (押し - to press) to help your filter papers fit the dripper better and reduce bypass to boost extraction! This changes a manual pleat-folding process into a single "press". Pressing the pleats of Kalita Wave 155 filters or any filter of your choice focuses the percolation of water within the coffee bed. The pressed filter will also give a wider bed surface area and allow for a larger pour volume (depending on the machine limits). Filament recommendation: The Oshi looks really pretty with filaments with a sheen or sparkle, in particular Pearl White and Galaxy Black. Disclaimer: Please use room temp or tap water to wet the filter as this is still a 3D print. It is recommended against using hot water for health safety reasons. Hotter water will soften PLA and mess up the shape. Checkout the xBloom! A coffee nerd approved, one step coffee pod experience that I personally have enjoyed trying out.
