Ortur Master 2 Needle air assist

This is an oversimplified air assist system for the 20W laser engraver ortur master 2. It uses a simple needle, an aquarium silicon hose (4mm inner diameter, 5.5-6mm) and the print with a 10mm M3 screw. The system allows you to stream air to the focal point at 55 mm (machine's G2 lens focal point). The Lower surface of the mount must coincide with the laser's aluminium block border for it to focus the air at 55mm. Sizes are design such that the machine can be homed without any obstructions, so no modifications of the machine are required. The aquarium hose is really flexible and light so will not add resistance to the laser while moving, can be strapped with cable binders or tape to your electrical/signal cables. You can move the mount for 50 -55 mm height without bending the needle. You can find a needle in any pharmacy, the nozzle size vary for which needle you install. I prefer long ones since focuses the air where the laser hits the surface.Works with any low power compressor, volume flow and pressure depend on the needle's hole diameter. Notice the needle can be cut straight or an angle or left with the pointy tip, which changes the shape of the air jet. Also the distance to your object/surface can be adapted. Needles are easy to find,reliable and cheap. Please don't pinch yourself with it, is sharp and harmful. I attach the fusion360 file if you want to modify the angle for a different focal point.
