Ortholinear 40% keyboard for small print beds
thingiverse
A 40 key orthilinear keyboard split for small print beds A bit janky as i built it in tinkercad and i am bad at 3d modelling Work in progress Progress report one, i realised I needed to mirror my split plates in order for each side to hold the other up so I have done that I also had to mirror the unsplit plate as the nut and bolt holes are not lined up fully Test printed half the models and m3 nuts and bolts fit through the required holes Update 2. Because my holes for nuts and bolts were not lined up perfectly I had to realign the holes for the one piece plate and resplit the plate for the 2 piece. Will soon test print and report back In my adjustment of the plate it now hangs over two edges by 1mm but it now sits correctly, I'm going to leave it for the moment and will redo the case box and plate so they will fit no matter the orientation of the parts but that will not be ready till the next update update 3, remade the unsplit board and plate from scratch. They are considerably neater and squarer Update 4 Added standoffs to support the plate in the middle of the board, split the new case and plate into 2 parts that still fit inside the 11cm bed of a monoprice mini
