Orthodontic Ligature Spool Case
thingiverse
A convenient spool holder is now included in the design. The ligature wires can be effortlessly wound onto this spool, which then fits neatly into its designated case. The spool holder consists of two separate parts that require a strong adhesive, such as CA glue, to securely bond them together. An upgraded version 2 has been released, featuring a cover held firmly in place by two clips. These clips can be attached using various sizes of M2 screws and nuts. Additionally, an M3 screw is needed to roll the ligature around the outside of the case. To ensure a secure fit, it is highly recommended that the four pins be glued into the corresponding holes on the body using CA glue. This design was created as a solution to the problem of loose ligature spools. The holder makes it easy to manage and store the spool, eliminating the need for constant re-winding. The dimensions of this case are specifically designed to accommodate spools measuring 63x16x85mm (External Diameter x Internal Diameter x Height). How I Created This Design I used SpaceClaim software to design this case. If desired, users can also add their name to the surface of the design.
