Orologio

Orologio

myminifactory

In-place printed clock. Showing minutes and hours, Orologio is made of 2 external rings, the one in the background, fixed, serves as a guide rail of the planetary gears. The planetary gears are driven by the carriage, which performs a single revolution every hour. The ring that shows the hours has five teeth less than the rear one, and as every hour pass, it performs a 30 degrees rotation clockwise and a complete revolution every 12 hours. The planetary gears are kept in place by the carriage which has a shaft with a chamfered shaft that works as a warranty, in fact, the simple shaft passing through the gear and the shape of the teeth would assure the correct positioning and lockage of the gears. I'll upload the single carriage as a single file if you want to print it with a different colour, but the chamfer won't be present for obvious assembly reasons. The carriage has a hole that allows the use of a 5v motor to control the movement of the minutes.
