Ornithopter Frame (Rubber Band Powered)
thingiverse
Create your own rubber-band powered flapping flying toy by following these instructions. The design is inspired by wooden ornithopters tutorials found on Instructables, particularly Captain Molo's tutorial. However, note that this project is still a work in progress as the flier has issues with stability during flight. Suspect causes include wobbly axles and excess weight. Design modifications are possible for future iterations to reduce weight and improve performance. Print the required components including one Ornithopter Body, two Ornithopter Struts, two Ornithopter Wings, and one Ornithopter Tail. Adjust printing position if necessary as some parts are close to maximum print size. Drill holes in specified locations for assembly. Due to size constraints, wing axle beads may need to be glued on. For detailed instructions, refer to Captain Molo's tutorial on Instructables.
