Ornithoper from Dune II

There's something undeniably cool about the Ornithopter from the classic favorite Dune II game. Exclusively used by House Atreides in the game, these exotic vehicles sped across the battlemap with incredible agility, their wings beating rapidly as they zipped around. It was only natural that we'd want to model and bring our own version into reality. It's also a blast from the past, as one of our very earliest models was the Windtrap from Dune II - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:127779. A decidedly simple piece which we started with and still gets quite a lot of love even to this day! :) This basic model features hinged wings that can be posed in different positions. It's also sized to be somewhat in scale with 28mm miniatures (as shown in the photos above). When assembled, this piece measures ~20 cm from front to tail, and has a wingspan of ~45cm when the wings are fully extended. --- This model is strictly for personal use only and cannot be uploaded or sold in any form.
