Ornament Candy Dish

Ornament Candy Dish

I was tasked with designing a Christmas ornament candy dish. This is what I came up with, and I'm proud of how it turned out. The design was printed using a .8mm nozzle at a layer height of .4mm, which gave it a smooth finish. A 15% infill seemed to work well for this particular project. I also experimented with printing one dish with no infill, but the top ended up being quite weak. However, with my limited design knowledge, I think the overall crown design came out pretty well. To add clips to the holes, I used a soldering iron to melt the main dish. Alternatively, you can use a drill to create the holes. First, place the crown on the lid and mark the two holes with a sharpie. Then, either drill them or melt them using a soldering iron. Edit: After further refinement, I've added a hole to the crown part of the dish, making it easier to attach the clip without needing to make any additional holes. This updated design allows you to simply place the crown on and put the clip in, which will hold securely in place.
