In order to ensure safety, I conducted a comprehensive risk assessment for my Ormerod printer. Attached are files for a new Z-axis top mount and a protective cover for the M5 threaded bar end, allowing free movement while preventing potential eye injury. Printing in PLA is recommended; alternatively, use an M5 extended nut with ABS and secure it in place using a M5 tap set. The nut's tighter fit reduces play, and replacement is easy by printing more when needed.
