Ormerod front bearing bed clamp
thingiverse
This accessory maintains the front bearing and Reprap Omerod bed's cohesion, without disassembling; simply slide it up from below. Utilize one or two (non-handed) pieces by clamping through the wood of the bed support, screwing from the top, or using the third set of holes for straightforward side clamps. The photo demonstrates the first method. With all 3mm tapping size holes, a 3mm bolt will self-tap, but may need to be expanded to 3/3.5 mm where needed. Note that cutouts are for bed/web clamp nut and washer clearance. Printed in PLA at 0.24mm, the ideal choice is two pieces fastened through the wooden bed support web (difficult to drill there under the bed).
