Ormerod 2 mods for DC42 Sensor
thingiverse
This is a modification for the Ormerod 2 with a quickset hot end to utilize the dc42 Mini Differential IR Height Sensor instead of the standard sensor. You can find this product at http://escher3d.com/pages/order/products/product1.php Two parts are required for this modification: The X Axis homing pad must be attached to the existing holes on the X motor bracket after removing the existing peg from it. A new X Carriage with mounting holes for the sensor board is also necessary. Update: An alternate X Carriage has been added, based on the 528.4 build. This version features a bearing that runs along the back of the x-arm rather than underneath. The area between the sensor board and the Z axis rod is very tight, so flat head or countersunk screws should be used to mount the board securely. When homing the X-axis, you may need to slow it down. To do this, edit homeall.g and homex.g. Change the F3000 in the move command to F1000 for more reliable triggering.
