The World sorely requires an improved filament holder. This one, however, boasts little distinction beyond securing onto existing hardware and accommodating my extensive reels of ABS material with ease. The reel axle slopes at 10 degrees relative to horizontal axis thereby rendering clips superfluous in keeping the reel stationary – gravity proves dependable in this context. Moreover, this configuration shifts the weight distribution towards the vertical support eliminating any need for added stabilization on the opposite side. Simply affix the holder directly onto the acrylic plate once the wooden spacer is removed. Although potential interference with unusually tall prints situated at the very rear of the bed may be a concern. Nevertheless, someone else may conceivably craft an even better design.
