The sections where fans are mounted should be printed with that contacting face facing towards the build plate. The component that is attached onto the original ormerod holder should be printed on its backside. After spending an excessive amount of time modifying feature trees in solidworks, I have abandoned adjusting the shape of the air duct and opted to sand .5mm off the tip so it won't interfere with the object being printed.
