I've attached my Ormerod 1 extruder cooling fan directly to the fins of the heat sink using screws. This simple duct connects to the side of the heat sink, directing some airflow down close to the part/extruder nozzle for added cooling - especially crucial when printing PLA. The duct is easily clipped in and out of place. It's not a remarkable solution, but it might just solve your cooling woes!
