Ormaig, Exposure 1 North (no texture)

Ormaig is a significant rock art site situated near Kilmartin Glen on Scotland's west coast. This model displays a detailed representation of Exposure 1. In 2007, I conducted fieldwork at Ormaig as part of joint efforts by Southampton University and the Kilmartin Museum. A larger expanse of bedrock surrounding these exposures was uncovered. Compared to other rock art sites where I have worked, very few artifacts were recovered; however, numerous unrecorded motifs were discovered. For the Ormaig surveys, I employed the numbering system used during excavation. N denotes True North. Photogrammetry: Aaron Watson created this model in February 2018.
