Orlando Furioso
sketchfab
About 3 meters high, this bronze sculpture is the work of Catalan sculptor Apel Les Fenosa (1889-1988). The artwork was created based on Ludovico Ariosto's epic poem "Orlando Furioso" (Roland Furieux), which has 38,736 verses. It's located at the foot of the stairs leading to the Esplanade de l'Europe in Montpellier, facing the Lez River and the Hôtel de Région. A photogrammetry process was done using 124 photos taken with a Samsung Galaxy 8 smartphone. The intense sunlight created contrasting "light" and "dark" effects on the representation.
