"Hear We Go, Hear We Go, Hear We Go!" — Common Ork chant heard during a Greenskin WAAAGH! The Orks, also known as Greenskins, are a savage and warlike species of humanoids that span the entire Milky Way Galaxy. They share many characteristics with Warhammer Fantasy Orcs (and were initially referred to as "Space Orcs" to distinguish them). Their enemies view them as savage, warlike, and crude, but they are actually the most successful species in the galaxy, outnumbering possibly every other intelligent race, including Mankind (with the exception of the Tyranids being a possibility). Greenskins are one of the most hazardous alien races to plague the galaxy. Countless in number and driven to fight and conquer at all times, the Orks pose a threat to every single intelligent species in the galaxy. The Orks are possibly the most warlike aliens in the 41st Millennium, and their numbers are incalculable. Amid constant tides of war and bloodshed, burgeoning Ork stellar empires rise and fall. Fortunately, most of them are short-lived, soon self-destructing in a maelstrom of violence and internal conflict. However, should the Orks ever truly unify, they would crush all opposition. The Orks' insatiable thirst for battle has consistently been their downfall: historically, Ork tribes have spent much time fighting amongst themselves, waging brutal wars with only the strongest surviving. Occasionally, an Ork leader emerges who is powerful enough to defeat his rivals and unite the warring tribes. His success attracts other tribes to him, and soon a massive WAAAGH! is underway – partly a migration, partly a holy war that can exterminate entire star system populations. When the Orks are on the rampage, the galaxy trembles, and in these dark times of the End Time, there are more WAAAGH!s rising than ever recorded. Be cautious when scaling; the scale is off.
