Internal baffles for the Orion Starblast 4.5 / 114mm telescope are now available. This versatile design fits any Optical Tube Assembly (OTA) with an external tube diameter of 140mm, crafted from 0.5mm thick steel. Print these internal baffles using a matte black filament, such as MatteForge, at a layer height of 0.3mm, upside-down and without brim. To assemble, insert the baffle from the bottom, ensuring the pegs are oriented towards the back. On my highly modified OTA, I have successfully used six internal baffles: five with 3cm pegs and one with a 6cm version positioned near the mirror cell, which has been moved forward as part of an astrophotography conversion. Update: A new front baffle design has been added to block spider vanes (added January 15th, 2018).
