This is a precision-crafted 4" Vixen Dovetail bar engineered specifically for an Orion Short Tube 80 (ST80) Telescope, serving as a direct drop-in replacement for the standard bracket utilizing identical screws. The innovative design provides a significantly more rigid connection than the stock 1/4"-20 screw bracket, while retaining the essential 1/4"-20 screw threads. To ensure optimal functionality, it is crucial to maintain a maximum layer height of 0.15mm for the threads to engage effectively. A recommended infill density of 80-100% is advised. To access the nuts securing the bracket screws, you must first remove the three screws holding the focuser in place. Failure to do so may result in damage to the lens if the nuts come loose within the OTA while attempting to unscrew the bracket screws without proper support.
