The original Xbox motherboard boasts a compact 40x10mm fan mounted directly on the GPU. However, as this fan ages, it can rapidly become significantly louder than its case counterpart. Regrettably, the GPU fan's custom housing is specifically designed to attach firmly to the heat sink. Fortunately, this adapter enables users to seamlessly replace the old fan with a brand-new 40x10mm unit while still allowing secure attachment to the heat sink. It effectively integrates well with new AD0412MX-G70/AD0412MX-G70-LF or Noctua NF-A4x10 FLX fans. The AD0412MX-G70 is the original Xbox component (excluding the housing) and operates quietly at 19 dB, producing an airflow of 9.7 m³/h / 5.7 CFM. Meanwhile, the NF-A4x10 FLX fan is slightly quieter at 17.9 dB but comes with a reduced airflow of 8.2 m³/h / 4.8 CFM.
