In anticipation of the SM2 upgrade, I decided to revise the initial part cooling fan with a significantly improved version, featuring several key upgrades: A more powerful radial fan for enhanced airflow An integrated fixation solution for convenient installation 360-degree airflow directed directly at the part Easy access to the filament change button retained To install this part, simply remove the two rightmost motor cooling fan screws, then fit in any 5115 radial fan. For powering the fan, I recommend two options: External variable alimentation is the safest choice to avoid short circuits and damage Alternatively, you can pull a line from the 24v motor cooling plug through the left side of the module; however, this requires some technical expertise To manually adjust the power during first layers, I suggest installing a variable resistance since the board does not offer part fan speed control Once the right power is found, this mod dramatically improves surface finish, particularly on overhangs and bridges, while also making supports break out more easily >>> Caution: Do not attempt to keep the touchscreen in position during homing; it will collide with the fan. Either remove or reposition it elsewhere /!\\r\n\r\nThis upgrade should be useful for many users. If you have any ideas you'd like help developing, don't hesitate to reach out.
