Original Prusa I3 bed holder easy adjustment
thingiverse
The print bed that came with my I3 has a slight bend, which causes one corner to droop down while the opposite end pops up high. This is quite annoying and inefficient for leveling the bed properly. I didn't want to buy another bed that could potentially have the same problem, so I designed this holder to fit between the bed and the Y-axis frame. It holds down the setting wheel, as you can see in the photos. Despite being a tight space, it still leaves enough room for the bed to move up and down. This solution fixed my problem and works well. The big advantage is that the bed now goes up and down simply by turning the wheel. Before, I had to press on the corner to help it go down. To present this holder with a slight angle, so it snaps around the screw. It's secured to the Y-axis carriage using two zip ties - one as close as possible to the setting and the other in the back for added stability. Be very careful when placing each zip tie, ensuring it clears everything on the Y-axis path. The four corners are different, and the zip tie will end up in a unique notch. Make sure you place each tie with precision and check that it clears the entire Y-axis path. I hope this solution works for you too. Let me know if you like it or if you have a better way to fix this problem. This model works best when printed in ABS or high-temperature plastic.
