Note: There have been significant updates to these models. You can find the most up to date versions at https://www.printables.com/@VisualReversal/models After getting my new MK4 I realized the MK3 version of the side boxes didn't fit quite right inside the Original Prusa Enclosure. So, I rebuilt them from scratch. This time the boxes are a bit wider and have been engineered to fit precisely between the frame extrusions and the z-bottom pieces. I also added a version with holes so that you can attach the boxes directly to the anchor points on the bottom of the enclosure; which ensures they stay put. The version without the holes has a small cutout to accommodate the bit that sticks up from the anchor points. To install simply push the printer back a bit, put the boxes in place. For the version with the hole, insert one M3x4 screw and tighten (you should have some left over from your enclosure build). Then, pull the printer toward the front of the enclosure to the dampers as usual. The boxes will fit snugly between the printer frame and the dampers. Included are six .gcode files. One set of three is for the boxes with holes and one set of three for the boxes without holes. Each set of three files contains a right box, a left box and both boxes. I printed mine with Prusament PETG at a .30mm (draft) and ironing on the topmost layer. These settings shorten the print time significantly from the MK3 version, but still retain the quality of the look. If you require different settings, just message me and I'd be happy to slice them up for you. I've also included a .3mf file so you can reslice for your specific filament and print settings. Just toggle the “eye” icon to make which ever boxes you want active and then export as a gcode. Once again, thank you to @dotson90 for the original mesh box design. Note: This model was designed in Fusion360 (2.0.16490) specifically for the Prusa MK4 and the Original Prusa Enclosure. It was sliced in PrusaSlicer 2.6, using a modifier slab. YMMV using other slicer software as the slab can be seen by some slicers as a solid piece. Note #2: The left and right sides are not mirrors of each other. The holes/cutouts are in slightly different spots to account for the differing placement of the anchor holes in the Original Prusa Enclosure. Note 3#: The previous (MK3) version of the side boxes fit perfectly with the LCD externally mounted, if the cables were carefully routed. However, I haven't tested these with the xLCD screen mounted externally.
