Original & Mirrored SDA 4" x 4" x 1/8"
thingiverse
A 4"x 4"x 1/8" Sigillum Dei Aemeth Original on left, mirrored image on right. Made using Inkscape, Blender, and Tinkercad software. Found a blank image online, possibly from a book written by Lon Milo Duquette. Huge thanks to him for that. Keep an eye out for a 9" version, I'll let you know when it's ready. For SDA enthusiasts, this project will eventually have all the tools available right here. This was made with Tinkercad software, feel free to edit online at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/vp3Z4TqyU9k Print Settings: Printer Brand: MakerBot. Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2. Rafts: Yes. Supports: No. Resolution: 0.20mm. Infill: 40%. My first print used 0.10mm resolution, while decent, I suggest going with 0.20mm. Lower infill percentages might work too, but for my first try I stuck with 40%. Number of Shells was set to 2. Post-Printing Notes: Needed some brushing after fresh from the Printer. Excess material required removal. How This Was Designed Creating a 3D Object from a 2D Image Taking an image of a blank Sigillum Dei Aemeth, removing background with Inkscape program, then converted it to a .svg file using same software. Next, imported .svg into Blender, adjusted extrusion level and created .obj file. Imported .obj into Tinkercad, resized dimensions to 4" by 1/8" in height. Keep an eye out for a blank
