A 3D Sigillum Dei Aemeth Summary This miniature replica of a Sigillum Dei Aemeth measures 4 inches by 4 inches by 1/8 inch. The original design on the left is mirrored to create a unique image on the right. This creation was brought to life using a combination of Inkscape, Blender, and Tinkercad. The blank template used as the starting point was sourced from the internet, but it's likely that someone else "acquired" it from a book written by Lon Milo Duquette. The creator would like to extend their gratitude to him for making this possible. A larger 9-inch version of this Sigillum Dei Aemeth will be available soon, and followers can stay updated on its release. Those familiar with the SDA will be happy to know that all necessary "tools" will be made available in the future. The design was created using Tinkercad, and interested individuals can edit it online at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/hCKfurjuhDe. Print Settings: Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2 Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: 0.20mm Infill: 40% Notes: The creator recommends using a layer height of 0.20mm for optimal results. A lower infill percentage might also produce better outcomes, but the current setting was used as it was the first attempt at creating this design. Post-Printing: The freshly printed Sigillum Dei Aemeth required some minor brushing to remove excess material. Design Process: Transforming a 2D image into a 3D object To create this miniature replica, an image of a blank Sigillum Dei Ameth was taken and the background removed. The resulting image was then converted into a .svg file using Inkscape. This .svg file was imported into Blender, where it was transformed into a 3D model by adjusting the extrusion level. A .obj file was created, which was then imported into Tinkercad. In Tinkercad, the dimensions were adjusted to match the desired size of 4 inches by 1/8 inch in height. This design process involved taking an image and turning it into a physical object through various software tools.
