This is a frame kit designed specifically for the original iPad model. I salvaged an old iPad from storage and decided to repurpose it as a smart mirror by attaching a mirror screen protector, thereby creating this frame kit. For users with advanced carpentry skills, you can create a wooden frame using the included brackets and other accessories to securely attach the iPad to the frame while still allowing full access to all buttons. The brackets were carefully designed around the original iPad's dimensions, ensuring a snug fit that won't obstruct any functionality. If you prefer to craft your own frame from scratch, I've specified an internal window dimension of 234x170mm for your reference. For those who choose not to build their own frame, I've included a 3D printable frame design that you can use instead. Please note that printing this frame may require some expertise and experience with 3D printing, as the print quality will largely depend on your printer's capabilities and your level of proficiency. Be sure to review the provided printing notes for helpful tips and guidelines. **Important Note:** The frame is symmetrical in design, requiring you to print two LongSide pieces and two ShortSide pieces to complete the assembly. **Note:** The screws used are 3mm x 10mm self-tapping pan head screws. However, you can also download alternative clock or weather apps instead. Keep in mind that I'm working on publishing my app, but this may take some time – if app publishers still support iOS 5.1.1.
