Introduction ========= This is an insert for the boardgame [Origin](https://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/127095/origin). It holds sleeved cards (I use normal sleeves but there should be plenty of room for thick sleeves too). I store the game upright, with the game board and rules sitting on the rest of the components it passes the "shake them all about" test. I originally started working on this last year using OpenSCAD and [MysteryDough's](https://www.thingiverse.com/MysteryDough) [The Board Game Insert Toolkit](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3405465). I had gotten as far as making the pawn holders then stopped because other things took priority. I revisited this recently and in the meantime I had started learning FreeCAD so I completed the rest of the insert using that. What you need to print: Card Holders ============ There are 2 versions: * origin-card_tray-68x95.2x32.4.stl * origin-card_tray-68x95.2x32.4.cutout.stl the cutout version uses slightly less filament. You need 6 copies of any combination of the two. I would recommend printing at least 2 of the non-cutout version as they will be used to store the Innovation tiles and Hunting/Straits tokens - don't want the tokens falling through the cutouts. Card Holders End Stops =================== 2 x origin-card_tray-68x95.2x32.4-end_stop.stl These are used to convert 2 card trays into token trays. Player Stands =========== There are 2 versions: * origin-player_stand-v1.stl (UNTESTED) * origin-player_stand-v2.stl v1 was my original design (but I did not use and did not print). I went with v2 because I designed some replacement villages with indents which allows the pawns to sit in, relatively securely. Note v2 also holds the original villages (see pictures). The stands double up as card holders. You need to print 4 copies. Villages (Optional) ======= These replace the ones in the game. If you decide to print these you need 9 in each of the player colours. Pawn Holders =========== For my copy I actually printed these: 1 x origin-speed_1-216x43x30-centre_cutout_t10_b20.stl 2 x origin-speed_2-216x58x30-centre_cutout_t10_b30.stl 1 x origin-speed_3-216x73x30-centre_cutout_t10_b40.stl As I wrote in the introduction, these were the ones I made in OpenSCAD. I have also redesigned them in FreeCAD as well: 1 x origin-speed_1.stl (UNTESTED) 2 x origin-speed_2.stl (UNTESTED) 1 x origin-speed_3.stl (UNTESTED) So you can choose tried and tested OpenSCAD version or the untested but prettier FreeCAD version - it's got chamfers all over the place! Just to reassure you that the hole sizes should be fine - I used the same to make the villages. In fact the villages have a tighter tolerance than the pawn holders, and the pawns still fit fine.
