Oriental Lamp
thingiverse
With plenty of time on my hands these last few days, I decided to craft a decorative oriental lamp that will seamlessly fit into any oriental themed design. This project likely requires a larger print bed as each body section measures 280 mm x 134 mm. A total of 10 pieces need to be printed for this lamp, which uses an FEIT LED candelabra E12 bulb. I've struggled to find a base that fits this design, having two old ones that are no longer available. The best alternative I found was on Ebay (search for "Plastic E12 Lamp Screw Base Socket Light Lamp Holder Extender Converter set"), but the replacement still needed modifications to fit the base. Furthermore, since an exact match couldn't be found, the new base requires soldering the cord to it. Additionally, you will need an electrical cord with a switch unless you plan on controlling this lamp from a wall switch. I printed all parts in white PLA and simply painted the sections I needed in my chosen color. As evident from the pictures, I opted for all black with a red cover on my design plates.
