###The 3D cell culture revolution is upon us but who's got £500+ for gel moulds? ##Let's make our own! These are gel mould designs intended for the creation of cell aggregates (spheroids/organoids) approximately 500-800 microns across. I've tested them using 1% agarose gel and it works pretty well but maintaining sterility is difficult, adding antibiotics to the gel seems to help. Look out for future versions with deeper wells to improve aggregation and a 96-well variant for high-content screening. Feedback is welcome as this is an ongoing project and the designs are sure to evolve.
