Organizer for electronic components - Arduino parts
thingiverse
These SVG cut files are designed specifically for creating a tabbed box that requires no adhesive inside since all its components fit snugly together due to friction and precise sizing. To ensure the outer pieces stay securely attached during handling, I applied small drops of superglue on them. This design is ideal for holding small component parts used in Arduino-type electronics. It's crucial to note that this box is constructed from 1/4" MDF, a factor that significantly impacts its functionality. The tab depth is critical in determining the fit of the components. To accommodate laser cutting limitations, I've created two separate files, each with dimensions suitable for a bed of 24"x12". You'll need to cut out pieces from both files to assemble a complete box. Although the box may initially appear too deep for small components, its height is necessary to accommodate taller Arduino parts like joysticks. As shown in the accompanying picture, this depth provides just enough clearance for these components. During laser cutting, I encountered issues that resulted in minor chipping on some areas due to the board pulling apart when separating the pieces.
