Once again a planter. How original!

And once again I decided to give it that overused Japanese wave pattern and a soft organic shape, just to prepare my baby plant for it's bright future as a bonsai. Probably it'll end as organic waste, like most of it's predecessors. Let's be realistic.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Wanhao

Printer:

Duplicator9

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

400

Infill:

100%

Filament: Extrudr, Filamentive PLA + wood, rPET Fichte (spruce), ONEPet

Notes:

I printed the upper part in my favorite wood blend: Extrudr Fichte (spruce). One thing I learned from using it as potting material is that it really is biodegradable to some degree; which is almost a good thing.
In order to keep the planter from rotting, I previously used epoxy on the inside which works nice. This time however I decided to use some bee-wax wood polish which seems to keep the moisture where it belongs. Additional benefits: doesn't make everything shiny, maybe biodegradable too, smells nice.
And since I went totally greenwashing on this one, I had to print the bottom part with recycled plastic bottle material ONEPet from filamentive.

Both parts printed with a 0,6mm nozzle and fat layers for aesthetic reasons.

Category: Outdoor & Garden
