This adapter fits on the Oreck Commercial Orbiter Floor Cleaner. Included here are two versions, one for 8 inch sanding pads and another for 10 inch sanding pads.You can use these plates to mount your own sanding pads. It's possible to use PSA(Pressure Sensitive Adhesive) pads or hook and loop pads. If you use hook and loop (Velcro), just get some adhesive hook pads and stick them onto one of these plates and then hook your felt backed sanding pad to the hooked surface. If you use PSA sanding pads, you can directly adhere them to the printed adapter if you intend to discard the print with your sandpaper when it is worn out. Or you can apply a layer of masking tape to the adapter surface to attempt to preserve it when removing the sandpaper.In my tests I was able to use a combination of both 10 and 8 inch versions with 34 and 80 grit sandpaper pads to finish the front and back of a 5x10 foot steel sheet and both prints held up well. The machine may skitter and rock about with these pads on them. In this case case consider fixing a weight to the top of your machine or press your foot on top of the machine while you buff with it to keep it stable.
