Summary From the aerial perspective, the segments of this stationary holder form the logo of the Order of the Bloody Rose from WarHammer, an online game with a simulated battlefield. A step by step process of how the Order of the Bloody Rose was created is detailed in an attached PDF. The 14.5cm x 14.0cm x 5.5cm dimensions allow for flexibility in the contents. I chose to display them with pencils, markers, scissors, and clips but you can choose as wide or as limited of a range as you would like. For this project, I worked with Sullivan McClanahan. We made four themed office supplies, shown in attached 3mf files. Problem StatementRecent analysis by by the Staples finance department has concluded that sales for desktop organization products have declined in recent years.  The company would like to ramp up their profits in this area by enhancing the aesthetic nature of these products.  Your group of two has been hired to design a set of theme-based organizational products.  Your team will design a set of office supplies that are tied together with a common theme. You must be able to justify the theme that connects the products together.  The idea is that the customer will not want to buy just one; they will want to buy the whole set.Design ChoicesMy first fix was a very minor aesthetic change on SolidWorks but it determined a major part of the physical appearance so I decided to include it. Originally, the shape of the sections were just arcs. Sometimes, simplicity can be better but in this case, it started to deviate from the logo. So, I fileted the edge when the curves met to create a heart shaped petal shape five times. Another aesthetic change I made was changing the arrow of the spears that split between the petals. To make the perfect diamond shape, I used construction lines to stretch horizontally across and vertically down from the midpoint. I extruded that diamond shape out by 0.50cm but something was missing. To make the arrow more complex, I decided to use the draft feature. I kept clicking until I liked how it angled up, at 58 degrees. The last change for the Order of the Bloody Rose would fall under functional because it was changed to lessen the total amount of printing time. One place with excess material was in between the petals. To get rid of this, Mr. T showed me how to cut the space out by tracing around with tangent lines and power trimming for each side of the arrow.Luckily, this reduced the printing time! Our Order of the Bloody Rose came out well except for a clog in the printing material, with created a skinny strip of irregular lines.
