An appendage attaches to the Z Makerslides' side, holding a standard ABEC bearing of 22mm OD, 8mm ID, and 7mm height (e.g., from skateboard). Replace the 8mm threaded rod for a longer one, maintaining 150mm Z travel; cut rods to match Makerslides' height. Secure the rod in the bearing with tape, and align the Z motor post-installation. This modification is not recommended unless using a floating Z nut alteration (Z Wobble Stabiliser).
