Ord Fan Duct for J-Head
thingiverse
This fan duct directs cooling air to both barrel and part via a 40mmx40mm axial fan at its end. The initial design has been replaced, as v1.1 enlarges the lower opening and includes a guiding vane for optimized air flow. V1.3 further improves airflow by merging the nozzle split and lengthening the internal diverter. Recommended due to its enhanced performance, the original version remains available for alternative preferences. The part should be rotated 180 degrees to align fan mount with build platform. However, support-free printing remains untested. Fan mount holes can be tapped with a sharp 3mm x 0.5mm pitch tap; #6-32 may work alternatively. M4 tap is suitable for top mounting holes, with possibility of using #10-24 tap instead. A tape on upper nozzle restricts flow for increased lower nozzles' air supply.
