Orca Series linear bearing lm8uu x-carriage - better/newest version
thingiverse
This simplified LM8UU x-carriage design is specifically created for use with an Orca 0.3 printer, though it may also fit an Orca 0.2 (please share your experiences). Version 5 updates include increased LM8UU holder length and decreased width, while version 4 features rounder belt holders for complete print bed use, stiffer alternative holders, space for tiewraps in the holders to secure bearings, moved bolt holes for M4 bolt compatibility, and a slightly adjusted belt clamp position. Version 3 improvements involve reinforced bottom plate and additional bolt hole attachment options. Version 2 updates include belt clamp modification for motor bolt fitment, wider belt clamps for easier belt installation, tighter LM8UU holders (24.00mm x 16.50mm dia), and rounded belt holder edges for smoother side movement. The final version (V5) has been printed and tested, fitting correctly. Note that M3 sunkhead bolts are required for proper inner bolt fitment in V2.3; this issue is resolved in V2.4. Ensure the printed x-carriage cools down flat after removal from the heated bed. Insert LM8UU bearings when cold, remove original x-carriage parts, attach the new holder with four bolts, and slide the belt into the holder for optimal printing experience.
